Members Sought for Pan South African Language Board

The arts and culture department has called for nominations of suitable candidates to serve on the Pan South African Language Board.

Published in Government Gazette 40166, the call was made in terms of the Pan South African Language Board Act.

The board was set up to monitor and evaluate the implementation of multilingualism and promote previously marginalised languages in South Africa.

Nominees are expected to have relevant experience in the field of language and possess linguistic knowledge.

Candidates with a legal background or financial management expertise are also a priority.

Nominations are invited until 21 August 2016.
