Ideas Sought on Shark Attacks

The environmental affairs department is calling for ideas on how best to tackle shark attacks in Port St Johns.

The invitation to submit possible mitigation measures was published in Government Gazette 37999.

Eight people have been fatally attacked by sharks on Port St John’s second beach since 2009.

Comments, inputs or suggestions on how to curb the attacks is invited until 3 November 2014.
